FoMA AGM & Conference 2009
Te Anga Whakamua Future Frontiers
The theme was Te Anga Whakamua (Future Frontiers) and from all accounts the 2009 FoMA Economic Conference/AGM was successful. Member, sponsor and attendee feedback was all positive or at the very least constructive and we (the FoMA team) would like to thank all people involved behind the scenes for a good result. Currently we’re in the throes of performing the mandatory post-conference clean up and at this early stage the signs are good.
If you’ve not heard Taitokerau has been confirmed as the next conference destination on 5, 6 & 7 November 2010 – program it into your diaries now. We are still to finalise the venue, but suffice to say overcoats will not be required. When quizzed on the expected temperature “balmy” was CE Rino Tirikatene’s reply.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guest-speakers; and although it’s difficult to single any one speaker out, it was hard to not get fired up after hearing MFAT CE John Allen tell us exactly what he thought.
No event of this magnitude could exist without sponsors and we would like to acknowledge the following partners for their support of the 2009 AGM/Conference held at Pipitea Marae and the Duxton Hotel in Wellington over Labour Weekend:
