Three studies have been released by the Ministry of Environment as part of the government’s Water Programme of Action. It is examining the cultural, economic, environmental and social aspects of water resources:

• Property Rights in Water Quality: A Review of Stakeholders Understanding and Behaviour;
• Economic Instruments for Managing Water Quality in NZ; and
• Property Rights in Water: A Review of Stakeholders Understanding and Behaviour.
