claims of iwi spying dismissed

In November last year the Sunday Star reported allegations that the Security Intelligence Service was spying on Maori organistaions.
An inquiry conducted by Paul Neazor, the Intelligence and Security Inspector-General, had found no evidence to support the allegations of unlawful bugging of iwi groups. He concluded that those who supplied the newspaper with information were adding fuel to fiction.
